Coming This Fall: Sigenergy Experience Center

Your EV Can Power Your Home. Here’s How.

Most people think about home charging one way: plug in the car, wait, drive off. But what if the power could flow the other direction, too?

This September, Neil Kelly Solar is opening a working Sigenergy Experience Center, giving Portland-area homeowners a hands-on look at what modern home energy can actually do. It will be only the second Sigenergy Experience Center on the West Coast, and the only one in Oregon.

At the center of it will be the Sigenergy V2X, a two-way EV charger that changes the relationship between your car and your home.

Your car can power your home

Most EV chargers only send electricity in one direction: into the vehicle. The V2X sends it both ways. When the grid goes down, your EV can act as a backup battery for your house. Paired with a home battery, that can mean days of power instead of hours.

No interruption when the power fails

When an outage hits, the system switches to your stored energy almost instantly. What would normally be a blackout looks more like a flicker.

Charge fast, on your own sunshine

The V2X offers some of the fastest home charging available, and it can draw that power directly from your solar panels instead of the utility grid.

Does it work with your car?

Two-way charging depends on your specific vehicle, and the list of compatible models is expanding. A few EVs are already confirmed to work in North America, with more being added as manufacturers roll out the capability.

Because this technology is still new and not yet officially certified across the board by every automaker, we’ll check your exact make, model, and year against the latest compatibility results before you count on it for your home. Bring your questions, or bring your car, to the Experience Center and our team will show you exactly where things stand.

Built to grow with you

Start with the storage capacity you need today and add more as your home and family change. The system is backed by a 10-year warranty.

Come see it work

The best way to understand what this technology can do is to see it running. The Sigenergy Experience Center opens to visitors this September at Neil Kelly. Let our team walk you through it when it’s ready, so you can decide with confidence.
